Beautiful weather all year round (300 flying days yearly), beaches within minutes, great food and accommodations, lots to do when you are not training. I train my students at Ft Lauderdale Executive (FXE) and Pompano Beach (PMP), North Of Ft Lauderdale International (FLL). FXE is the perfect training airport because it has controlled fields that, with my help, will familiarize you with heavy traffic. Second-most busiest single runway airport in the country.  Within 3 minutes, we have Pompano Beach Airpark with a very relaxed atmosphere and a training area. It's 9 miles northwest and great for all training aspects Ft Lauderdale is also perfectly equipped for instrument training (ADF, Localizer and ILS). It not only has its own Instrument Approach Procedure (IAP), but is also literally minutes from other outlying airports with numerous type of approaches, RNAV (GPS) included. |
